To make sure you have as much information as possible before you come to visit us please find following our most frequently asked questions.

How many events do you hold at any one time?

Only yours. The venue will be yours exclusively for the entire booking period. Your marquee provider can arrange their own access times directly with us should they wish to have longer on site.

Do we have do come and clear up the day after an event?

All rubbish must be removed from our farm and the paddocks left exactly as they were found prior to event.

How many people does your venue hold?

Our event and paddock area can hold up to 500 guests.

Can I conduct my wedding ceremony at your venue?

We do not hold a license for weddings ceremonies. Some couples opt for a wedding blessing but all legalities must take place prior to your celebration.

Do you allow fireworks?

Due to livestock on the estate we do not allow fireworks or Chinese lanterns. Please note that we do not permit confetti or any activity that will cause undue mess because of the open nature of our venue.

Is car parking available for my guests?

We have around 200 spaces on site for your guests to use on the day. Access to the car park is via a side road through the farm entrance. Guests are welcome to leave their cars on site overnight after any event but they must be collected by 4pm the following day.

What time will any music need to end?

All amplified music will need to be turned off at 11.30pm. Acoustic music is still welcome for those camping overnight.

What are your payment terms?

We request a non-refundable 25% deposit to confirm your date, 50% of the total balance is due six months prior to the event and the final balance is due six weeks prior to your arrival on site.

Can I use my own suppliers?

We have an approved list of suppliers who provide a first-class service and know our venue well. You are welcome to bring your own suppliers but this will incur an administration fee to cover our time for checking legal cover and dealing with supplier paperwork.

Who will oversee the delivery of our supplies?

Our Estate Manager, Kelly, will manage the delivery of all supplies. You will be asked to provide us with a schedule of initial delivery times from your suppliers so we know when to expect them. No responsibility will be taken for chasing deliveries that have not arrived.

Can we pop by with no notice?

As we are a working estate with the use of heavy machinery on-site it can be dangerous for anyone to arrive without an appointment. Please book any visits with our Estate Manager. If you would like to visit with suppliers this must be done with prior notice.

Can we bring our own catering and bar hire for our event?

We are a dry-hire venue so do not provide any catering or bar options. We do not charge any corkage. Bar service will need to finish at 11.30pm.

Can we have a campfire?

You are welcome to hold a fire in the lower paddock area by prior arrangement. This must be under the strict guidance of the Estate Manager. Logs will be provided for you and only this can be used for placing on the fire.

Can we use the area by the house and the formal gardens?

Guests are not permitted in this area unless by prior arrangement.

Can we use the lake for swimming or fishing?

The lake is not available for swimming or fishing so as not to disturb our animals who call it home!

Can we have a silent disco?

Yes you are more than welcome to have a silent disco.

What time should our guests arrange taxis for?

The venue will close at 12midnight for day guests so please ensure all taxis arrive prior to this time. As we are in a rural area it is advisable to ensure all taxis are pre-booked.

Do you allow camping?

Space for camping is available by prior arrangement for Corporate Events. For those guests that have booked our Woodland Wedding Experience overnight camping is available in the lower paddock. All tents must vacate the site by 4pm the day after the wedding. Please note that no toilet or wash facilities are provided, you will need to ensure you have made provisions for your guests such as a luxury portable toilet block.

Do you provide electricity, outdoor lighting and toilet facilities?

There is no electricity or lighting in the event area. You will need to discuss power and lighting options with your marquee provider as well as the provision of toilets and hand wash facilities.

Do we need insurance to use your estate?

Although Highfields Park has insurance this covers our liabilities only. For your own peace of mind it is advisable to book wedding or event insurance to cover your suppliers and any unforeseen circumstances that may arise.

Are we allowed to bring our dogs?

Dogs are allowed on site by prior permission only and must be kept on a lead at all times so as to protect our livestock. Owners must be responsible for their dogs at all times.
